Finding Wisdom

I’ve been reading the Contemporary English Bible and I really likely it. I came across Proverbs 5:1 and 2 and it really spoke to me. “My son, if you listen closely to my wisdom and good sense, you will have sound judgment, and you will always know the right thing to say.” Nowadays you see a lot of people on TV that seem to lack wisdom and common sense. One of my favorite sayings is this. “Darkness has no wisdom.” That really ties in to the first verse. If we pay attention to God!s Word and let it be our guide, we will always be on the right path. I was talking to my older son the other day and we were discussing this. I said that many times people can’t seem to make a right decision or they are worried about other people’s opinions, but the real answer is just to completely yield to Jesus, and do exactly what He tells you to do or what you feel in your spirit is the right thing to do. Complete obedience to Him makes you absolutely free. You never say, “I don’t know what to do, because we have the Holy Spirit, who is Wisdom Himself living in us. We may not know immediately what to do, but we are at peace, knowing in His time it will be revealed. As long as we praise and worship and stay in fellowship by praying and reading His Word, we will have sound judgment and wisdom for every single thing we do. It’s absolutely awesome how the Lord will lead and guide you in His extravagant Love and infinite blessings!
