Practice Holiness

In his book, “Excellence in Music Ministry”, Steven James Ingram quotes Dr. Mark Barclay, Pastor of Living Word Church in Midland, Michigan. “This Bible is not just readable. It’s really livable!” Ingram then concludes the chapter, “Practice Holiness”, with the following advice. “Commit yourself afresh and anew to be a person of honor, integrity, and above all, live holy before God, your family, and your peers. Here are a few closing thoughts for consideration. Holiness is not freedom from temptation, but it is the power to overcome. Holiness is a virtue that often vanishes when you talk about it, but becomes gloriously conspicuous when you silently live it. ‘Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” Hebrews 12:14 KJV) Only you can damage your character. Reputation is precious, but character is priceless. A flaw in one’s character will show up under pressure.”
