New Beginnings

“April is a month of new beginnings. New doors are opening up for you. New doors of favor are flinging wide for you. New hope and life are coming over you. You are embarking upon a new season of blessing and favor.” ——Ben Lim

Rejoice

“Let me tell you what it means to rejoice. One meaning of the Hebrew word rejoice is ‘to brighten up.’ Put a big smile on your face. Another meaning is ‘to spin around.’ A third meaning is ‘to leap.’ So, the next time you’re in a trial, here’s the way you’re going to respond: smile, spin, and leap!” —-An excerpt from Jerry Savelle’s “Faith Building Daily Devotionals”

Jesus Catches Us

“Being a Christian doesn’t mean I won’t fall…It means Jesus will catch me, when I do.” —-Pastor John Hagee

Be Like Jesus

“God loves you just the way you are, but He refuses to leave you that way. He wants you to be just like Jesus.” ——-Max Lucado

God’s Wild Love

“I could more easily contain Niagara Falls in a teacup then I can comprehend the wild, uncontainable love of God.” —–Brennan Manning, “The Ragamuffin Gospel”

Happy Resurrection Sunday

Christ is Risen. “The very first Easter taught us this: that life never ends and love never dies.” —-– Kate McGahan

Joyous Saturday

Holy Saturday is also called “Joyous Saturday” or “the Saturday of Light”. Easter baskets have their origin in Poland where the food baskets were brought to Church to be blessed. The colored eggs are symbolic of life and Christ’s resurrection, while kielbasa, a sausage product, is symbolic of God’s favor and generosity. The bread symbolizes Jesus, and ham is symbolic of great joy and abundance.

Good Friday

“Jesus sacrificed His life so that we may enter heaven through Him. That is such a powerful sacrifice. He set aside His diety to be flesh on earth, and without doing any wrong, He was killed and His blood was shed for us. He could not have said, ‘I love you’ in a better way. Good Friday to all.”

In The Secret Place

On this Holy Thursday, here is a quote from Lynne Hammond from her book, “Whispers from the Secret Place”. “Surely, I must Go, just as Jesus commissioned us to do. But I must always remember that my going will be far more powerful and effective if it is preceded by my coming to God to receive His wisdom and His grace. I will do far more to bless the world when I have first spent time with God in the secret place.”

Be A Blessing

“With God’s blessings comes responsibility. Ask the Lord today what you can do to encourage someone—make a phone call, send an email, write a letter, invite a friend to lunch or for coffee. Oh, and don’t forget to say, ‘I love you,’ to the people who mean the most to you and treat all men with courtesy and appreciation.” —–An excerpt from Mike Evan’s Daily Devotional
