Any time you show honor, you are sowing seed. The honor you give away will always come back to you.  Pastor Joel Osteen says that the amount of honor you show others will be directly related to the amount of favor that God shows you.  He tells the story of how his parents years ago went to the reception of the new police chief in Houston just to show their support, and to let him know they were praying for him.  Over the years, they became friends.  His name was Lee Brown, and later he became mayor.  Years later he was instrumental in Lakewood Church acquiring the Compaq Center as their house of worship.  Who would have imagined that such a small act of kindness in showing honor to a new police chief could have resulted in such tremendous favor?  Honor activates the commanded blessing.  “Take delight in honoring others.” (Romans 12:10, The Living Bible)
