God’s Divine Protection

The day before yesterday I was listening to a CD by Kenneth Copeland talking about Psalm 91 and how it provides divine protection. He told the story of a general overseas that had gotten orders for his men to go into a high casualty area. Brother Kenneth told him to have all the men study and memorize the 91st psalm and then require them to quote each day a particular verse as the order of the day. After their tour was over, there was NOT one casualty. However, when the general left and another took his place, that same battalion start having casualties because Psalm 91 was not said by everyone. With this story so fresh in my mind, little did I know that that same day I would have a hard fall in the house. (I should have placed a non-skid mat under a new throw rug on my hardwood floor that I thought could be slippery.) As soon as it happened I watched my first words, which are so important, and refused any injury. All I had was a small red mark on my knee. My body had quite a jolt and I felt a little discomfort in some areas. The next morning the Lord woke me at 2:45 am and inspired me to read Psalm 91 in the Contemporary English Version which I have retrieved from my shelves after quite a few years. It has really been blessing me, and verse 14 of this psalm really touched my heart. “The Lord says, ‘If you love me and truly know who I am, I will rescue you and keep you safe.'” God has really been revealing Himself to me in the Trinity, and He used this verse to remind me how I am in the Trinitarian covenant and in the palm of His Hand, and He will always protect me. The accident incident immediately left me, and I am so very thankful that I was protected from all injury and even the little red mark was gone. Praise be to the Father, the Son,and the Holy Spirit!
