In 1974 Steven K. Scott asked Dr. Gary Smalley for advice.  Since graduating from college 4 years ago, he lost 6 jobs.  After praying about it, he told Steven how he could be smarter than all of his future bosses, and bet him that he would be a millionaire within 5 years.  He told him to read the Book of Proverbs, a chapter a day corresponding to that particular date.  On the first day of the month read Chapter One, etc., and in the months with 30 days, read two chapters on the last day of that month.  He told him to make notes about the knowledge and wisdom he was learning.  He soon became a multimillionaire, and he also wrote about the principles that he learned in a book called “The Richest Man Who Ever Lived”.
