As I awoke the other morning, the Lord spoke to my heart and said, “Intimacy begets knowledge”.  Wow, I’ve been meditating on that and learning how to become more intimate with Him.  Intimacy infers total trust, so that we are able to share our most intimate, secret thoughts without any fear of rejection.  ” Perfect love casts out fear” (1John 4:18).  The more intimacy we experience with God, the more we come to know His very nature, His power, His  glory, and His love.  But we have to take the time to become intimate with Him.  Too many Christians are all about “doing” instead of “knowing”.  Just being in God’s presence is enough.  Words aren’t even necessary.  Let our heart’s cry be this.  “I want to be consumed by Your love.”.  That’s being consumed by God, who is Love Himself.
