Walmart has just released a new inspirational ad.  It’s about a man who was born with a condition that doctors said affected every part of his body.  It eventually caused him to lose feeling in both legs, and he had to learn to walk again.  The ad is narrated by the man himself.  You can understand him, yet it is evident that he has a handicap.  Walmart gave him a job,  and although it’s a struggle everyday, he said it makes him feel that he’s reaching his goals.  People all his life said he had a learning disability.  He said he guessed it was because he never learned to give up.  This ad sends a powerful message, not just that employers should hire people with handicaps; but it reminds us that even though we are all different in one way or another, we should accept people and respect them for who they are.  We are all the same because we are all made in God’s image and likeness.  Different doesn’t mean better or worse.
