I have read Psalm 91 so many times, yet the other day the fourteenth verse just seemed to jump out.  “If we set our love on Him, He will deliver us.”  Other translations say it a little differently.  The Living — “For the Lord says, Because He loves me, I will rescue him.”  The NCV — “The Lord says, Whoever loves Me, I will save.”  The CEB — “God says, “Because you are devoted to Me, I’ll rescue you”.  The Message — “If you’ll hold on to Me for dear life, says God, I’ll get you out of any trouble.” Those are such tender promises.  I always thank God for helping me or healing me just because He loves me so much.  But this is such a tender exchange of love, and a beautiful promise of His love and protection.  His precious mercy and  awesome love is constantly surrounding, protecting, and delivering us at all times.
